My name is José Graça. For the past 20 years, I’ve made it my work to know the world’s best hotels, routes and experiences better than almost anyone.
I’ve booked hundreds of Maldives overwater bungalows — and told clients which ones to avoid. I’ve walked the backstreets of Kyoto in cherry blossom season and the shoulder season, so I know what the photographs don’t show. I’ve seen Mediterranean cruise itineraries from the inside, understanding which ports deserve a full day and which ones you can sleep through.
ManusTravel exists because most travel content is written by people who’ve never been there.
AI tools, content farms and affiliate-first blogs have flooded the internet with travel guides that look authoritative and say nothing useful. This site is the opposite: real experience, honest opinions, and recommendations I’d give to my own family.
What you’ll find here
Every hotel recommendation on this site comes with an affiliate link to Expedia — I earn a small commission if you book through it, at no extra cost to you. I’ll always tell you when that’s the case. More importantly, I’ll always tell you if I don’t think a hotel is worth it, even when that means I don’t earn anything.
